Game shooting is at the heart of what we do at Edwinsford.
The shooting at Edwinsford is comprised of our hill drives; where a combination of ancient river plateaus and sharp gradients place the birds high and wide over the line, dropping and curling on the ever present Welsh wind.
The woodland drives use the River Cothi or one of the numerous brooks as a backdrop. Here steep timbered banks topped with mature trees flare birds over the guns in a mix of lines meaning all types of shots are encountered.
A typical day at Edwinsford sees us on pegs around 9:30am after meeting for coffee at 9:00am.
You will shoot a mix of three to five woodland and hill drives depending on conditions with elevenses generally served after the second drive.
We always shoot through with a three course meal prepared using seasonal and local produce served at the farmhouse to end the day.
