Sheriff’s

Arguably our signature drive, the guns have to work a little for their sport descending the steep slope to the line.

The large holding area of young, mixed deciduous woodland is pushed into a flat flushing point of perennial cover out of sight of the guns and above the main track. A key aspect of this drive is the effect of the prevailing wind; Sheriff’s sits on the change from open valley to gorge with the guns generally shielded from the wind.

The funnelling effect from the gorge combined with the steep slope to the west create turbulent streams of air across this part of the mountain; this variation allows us to present an infinite range of targets curling in both directions from a minimal flushing area. You definitely earn your lunch on the climb back to the cars.
